Our Signature Natural Design and Building Process
Here at ABC we pride ourselves in providing a full spectrum holistic natural building service, which includes, but is not limited to, creative consulting, budgeting, planning, design, management, team building, custom carpentry, artisanal ironwork and cob / adobe construction. We also consider the mental and spiritual well-being of each project and each participant, by incorporating diversity, creativity and authentic relating exercises in our daily program.
What makes us unique is mainly that we really love what we do, we are exceptionally talented and we have systems in place so that each member of the team can take ownership / responsibility for their portion of the project, but have some flexibility to do it in their own way. Over the years we have also been commended on our attention to detail, responsiveness, clear communication, understanding of regenerative systems, artistic abilities and overall health / well-being of ourselves and of the jobsite. In essence we are in service to helping communities / families to bring their dream land projects to fruition and creating dynamic, fun, inspiring but disciplined environments designed for healthy projects to take form, all the while guided by the intelligence of nature.

One of our biggest commitments is a commitment to Quality and doing things in a way that lasts for Generations. We also have a strong commitment to taking care of the planet, ourselves and one another along the way. We do our best to harvest and/or purchase local materials and products that are regenerative in nature. We try not to use plastic or concrete in our constructions and work to support other local businesses throughout the project.
safety first ~ trust building
Here at ABC, jobsite safety is much more than protective gear, trainings on how to keep your physical body safe and how to handle tools / materials. Physical safety is important and we use
the “Four Pillars of Physical Safety” including Preparation, Prevention, Protection and Response.
We realized that we also need to consider Psychological Safety, which is only created when trust is built.
"The Core Drivers of Trust" can be described by saying ~ People tend to trust you when they believe they are interacting with the real you (Authenticity), when they have faith in your judgment and competence (Logic), and when they feel that you care about them (Empathy).
We care about the jobsite being a place where inclusion, safety of all forms and positivity is our flavor. Here are some behaviors that we encourage to building trust. When we trust work becomes playful and enjoyable.

It has been said that when you love what you do you will never work a day in your life. Well then we have found the holy grail using this formula for first developing safety and trust. When these key elements are a part of the equation then we become light and reside in our heart space. The fears have been removed and now we can create beauty, while dancing to the beat of our own drum.

Naturally building
Foundations & Frameworks using proper joinery, locally sourced materials and an understanding of the location / environment.
Teamwork makes the dream work. Now that we have developed the base for a strong team the nucleus of our project which includes the plan and drawings as well as the agreements. In the stage we build the framework of our structure and root it into the ground with a proper Foundation.

Building Green wall & roofing systems including framing, insulations, sheathing, moisture barriers, windows & doors
In this stage of the project we have our strong framework and our team is even stronger now that we have done some actual physical work together and learn to communicate with one another in a healthy way. Here we fill in our walls with our insulation and wall system and we also get our roof on to protect us from the elements for the remainder of the project.
The final touches of the project include some of the most versatile and defining aspects, using natural plasters, paints, custom furniture, decorative elements, fabrics and accents.
Now for the fun part we have successfully closed in our structure and protected it from the elements, our team is functioning as a well-oiled, and now we are ready for the finishing touches which taken to account your unique needs, style and cozy elements that make this structure your own.

Daily practices may include movement, play, expression, improvisation, authenticity circles, self-care and others,
The fine Art of Project Management and conscious Regenerative Materials Harvesting. Incorporating systems like permaculture, agro-forestry and biodynamic farming, along with project safety guidelines, the proper use of safety equipment, materials acquisition and construction planning.

The basics and hands on experience with foundations, natural disaster prevention systems, drainage, framing/wall systems, flooring options and roofing systems and structures. Designing a functional workspace and implementing the safety and communication practices that we learned in earlier modules.
