Most community projects don’t fail because of land, design, or resources.

They fail because of what happens between people.

Misalignment.
Unspoken expectations.
Breakdowns in communication.

After more than 30 years in natural building, I began to see a pattern:

Even the most beautiful, well-designed projects struggle — or collapse — without a strong human foundation.

My work now focuses on bridging that gap.

Creating communities that are not only well-built structurally, but stable, connected, and resilient at a human level.

A More Integrated Way of Building

Sacred Natural Building is not only about the materials we use or the structures we create.

It is about how we work together in the process of building.

Over the years, I’ve seen that the success of any project depends on two equally important foundations:

🌱 The Physical

Natural materials, regenerative design, and building in relationship with the land

❤️ The Human

Communication, trust, emotional awareness, and the ability to navigate challenge

When these two are not aligned, even the strongest structures can struggle to hold.

When they are integrated, something very different becomes possible:

A project that feels grounded, coherent, and alive — for the people creating it and those who live within it.

How I Support Projects

My work can include:

– Design and planning
– Natural building and construction
– Project guidance and coordination
– Team development and collaboration
– Integrating relational awareness into the building process

Rather than offering a fixed formula, I adapt to the needs of each project — supporting both the practical and human elements as they evolve.

This work asks for a willingness to engage not only with the external project, but with the internal and relational dynamics that arise along the way.

What Makes This Work Different

This work is not only about building structures.

It’s about creating an environment where people can work well together.

Over time, I’ve developed ways of working that support:

– Clear and honest communication
– Shared responsibility and ownership
– Space for creativity, individuality, and expression
– A balance between structure and flexibility

When this foundation is present, the building process becomes more than productive — it becomes meaningful, collaborative, and even enjoyable.

Safety & Trust as the Foundation

Safety on a job site is not only physical.

It is also psychological.

Without trust, even simple decisions can become difficult.

With trust, work becomes fluid, creative, and alive.

Trust tends to grow when three elements are present:

– Authenticity — people feel they are interacting with the real you
– Competence — there is confidence in judgment and ability
– Care — people feel seen, respected, and valued

To support this, I encourage simple but powerful behaviors:

– Being honest and transparent
– Following through on commitments
– Listening well
– Acknowledging others
– Allowing space for vulnerability

This creates a working environment where people feel safe to contribute fully — and where the project itself can thrive.

Loving the Work

When people feel safe and connected to what they are doing, something shifts.

Work becomes lighter.

Creativity opens.

The process becomes as meaningful as the result.

This is where building moves beyond function — and becomes an expression of care, presence, and intention.

The Process

A — Foundation (Vision & Team Alignment)

Design, planning, and creating alignment within the team

This stage brings clarity to both the project and the people involved — including communication practices, shared agreements, and decision-making structures.

B — Structure (Foundations & Frameworks)

Building the physical base using natural materials and appropriate techniques

With a clear plan and aligned team, the project begins to take form in a grounded and practical way.

C — Systems (Walls & Roofing)

Creating the systems that make the structure functional and protected

At this stage, the project gains stability, and the team deepens its ability to work together through real experience.

D — Expression (Details & Finishing)

Bringing in the unique character, artistry, and feel of the space

This is where the structure becomes a living environment — shaped by the people it is created for.

He even goes the extra mile to give us a gift at the end of each project when the budget won't allow it. We love Christo, he is really more of a part of our little family than a contractor. Thank you for all the warmth and generosity you bring into our lives!"

Thank you so much for your dedication and commitment to Quality, it shows in each project."
